Recently, I listened to an interesting guest talk in my class. It holds by Marcus Suen. He has worked for lots of companies like 100most, Captv, Openrice, and now he is working in Edgiest. How come a guy could work for such different style, different tone, and different manner companies? That’s exactly what I was thinking about when I was in my lesson. I guess some of you already heard about what is a content creator but do you know what the detail job duties are? Just write some Facebook post captions? Or create some video content? That’s it? The answers are more than you think. What Marcus told us is, you are not only a journalist. You are also a marketer, a pr, a video editor, a designer, a writer, a FB/IG/YouTube Admin, even an Influence. It is quite inspired to me when I listened to his talk. He talked a lot on how to looking for the right target audiences and niche marketing, how to avoid some potential crisis, also how the importance of the creativity and the resonance between us and audiences. He also taught us how to utilize the social media platform and social listening tools to understand the audiences. He gave us rich information of his sharing.
However, all these are not the most impressive part for me. The most remarkable part for me is the last slide of his PowerPoint.

Why it is so hot? It is a game that have a long develop history, it is so popular among those years because of the game features and this is the latest version. This time, it talks about to live in a deserted island. You can do what you want to do. There is no battle, no time limited, no fixed mission you must do in this game. Just feel free to play, you can fishing, planting, decorate your house and so on. Somehow the NPC(non-player character) will give you some tips on what you can do. You can live happier in this place with your animal neighbour or ask your friends to come to your island to visit you and play together. It is quite therapeutic to people that they can live in here with no pressure. It is what we want to live our life for real. We can get away from the social pressure when we play this game. And I started to play this game. It is really cool for me. I really enjoy to stay away from our crowded world. It creates some “me” time for myself. Some people also stand out for their political stand or social issues in this game and some press reported. For me, it is a meaningful way to play the game. There is no rules we have to follow, we use our creative methods to promote the messages we want to spread to the world.
YouTube, a video-sharing platform. It is my all-time favourite. I would like to check it out when I am bored and looking things to do. For me, watching YouTube is the best way to kill time. After I check this out, different Hong Kong YouTuber do the review of YouTube Premium. They have good and bad comments of it. If you had never subscribe any music platform and you want to enjoy the video and music offline, YouTube Premium is really worth to paid as it will also provide the YouTube music premium in the meantime.
